GHS-DAAD Grants for German Language Courses in Germany

These grants for summer language courses in Germany are jointly funded by the German History Society (GHS) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). They offer an opportunity to PhD students of History at universities in the UK to enhance their German language skills according to their academic profile and research needs.

Participants are able to choose the German language course and level of tuition from the broad range of summer courses offered by German universities:www.summerschools-in-germany.de.

Please note that applicants have to apply for the summer courses separately and places are subject to availability.

Value

The EUR 850 award contributes to travel expenses, accommodation, and course fees for a three-to-four-week German language course at a German university.

Please check the individual course outline for tuition details and extra-curricular activities.
